Detailed Itinerary of All of Sikkim tour
Gangtok (2N)→ Lachen (1N)→ Lachung (2N)→ Gangtok (1N)→Pelling (2N)→Kalimpong (1N)→Darjeeling (2N)
12 Days / 11 Nights
Day 1 ARRIVAL NJP RAILWAY STATION / (IXB) BAGDOGRA AIRPORT – GANGTOK
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, (413 Ft / 126 Mts) will be met by our office Executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs). Check in and over night at Hotel.
Day 2 GANGTOK – TSHANGU LAKE & BABA MANDIR EXCUSRION
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Hotel. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided)
Day 3 GANGTOK – LACHEN (120 Kms / 5 hrs approx.)
Breakfast at the hotel in Gangtok and drive to Lachen enroute visiting villages and water falls.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4 LACHEN – LACHUNG (60 kms / 2 hrs approx)
After breakfast proceed for excursion to Gurudongma Lake and Chopta Valley. Later drive from Lachen to Lachung.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5 LACHUNG – YUMTHANG EXCURSION (25 kms / Approx 1.5 hrs each way)
Early morning proceed on a half day excursion to Yumthang Valley. Visit to Yumthang Valley is a day excursion from Lachung, which is an attraction for tourist visiting this region. The colorful Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary bloom between April to June. The soaring snow-capped peaks and herds of wandering yaks make this a Himalayan paradise The valley is also known for its Hot spring. Although the water is quite dirty, many locals from the area visit to get themselves soaked & cured as believed. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6 LACHUNG – GANGTOK (125 kms / 6 hrs approx)
After breakfast transfer to Gangtok & Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7 GANGTOK – PELLING (116 kms / 6 hrs approx)
Morning Go for a half day (04 hrs) sightseeing covering Jhakri Water Falls along with Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday) and Flower Show. Afternoon transfer to Pelling . Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8 PELLING – YUKSOM EXCUSRION (35 kms / 2 hrs approx)
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom on way panoramic sightseeing of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts) it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird & Kanchanjunga Water fall. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks) – the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned. Evening back to Pelling and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9 PELLING – KALIMPONG (115 Kms / 04 hrs approx.)
After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong (4091 Ft / 1247 Mts).Check in and Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10 KALIMPONG – DARJEELING (70 Kms / 03 Hrs):
Today after Breakfast visit Dello hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Flower Nurseries, Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang and Durbin Dara Hills. Transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts). Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 11 DARJEELING:
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person) Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight stay in Hotel at Darjeeling.
DARJEELING – NJP STATION / BAGDOGRA AIRPORT (110 km / 03 hours):
After breakfast checkout of the hotel & Reach the Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station for your onward connection or way back home.
